Four writers from Ghana and Nigeria have touched down in Iseyin, Oyo State, marking the commencement of the highly-anticipated first edition of the 2024 Ebedi International Writers Residency.

The distinguished literary quartet includes Dacosta Boakye and Abdulrahman Mohammed Abu-Yaman from Ghana; Blessed Mudiaga Adjekpagbon and Abdbasit Adeyemi from Nigeria.

Beyond their writing endeavours, these accomplished writers will extend their expertise to the local community by mentoring secondary school students in Iseyin during their immersive four-week residency.

Ebedi International Writers Residency, a privately-driven initiative providing a conducive environment for writers to advance their ongoing projects, has been a pivotal force since its establishment in 2010. Having hosted 250 writers from 12 African countries, the facility plays a vital role in nurturing literary talent across the continent.
