PAWA commiserates with the government and people of morocco over earthquake incident

The Pan African Writers Association has described shocking news of the recent earthquake in Morocco that has claimed over 2000 deaths with more than another 2000 people injured.

In a condolence letter jointly signed by PAWA’s President, Hon John Rusimbi, and the Secretary-General, Dr. Wale Okediran, the associations commiserated with King Mohammed VI, the Government and people of Morocco as well as the families, friends, and relatives of the victims on the irreparable loss.

 

PAWA noted with thanks, the commendable efforts of King Mohammed VI and his government in promoting Literature and Culture on the African continent.

The Associations offered its heartfelt solidarity and prayers for a quick resolution of the tragedy.

May the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace, amen.
